Petropolis

Petroplis addresses the issues of excessive plastic consumption and waste in our society. In my quest to challenge these norms and minimize my carbon footprint, I've actively collected household garbage and waste generated from my creative practice. By exploring the characteristics of these discarded materials, I've engaged in processes of deconstruction, reshaping, dissolution, and melting, resulting in an evolving series of textured 3D paintings.

Focusing on the metamorphosis of waste items and transforming them into autonomous art pieces, the resulting abstract, landscape-like wall reliefs retain subtle traces of their past lives, inviting viewers to contemplate the journey from consumer waste to something imbued with lasting value.
